Mtn. Laurel Chalets has hand-picked a variety of offers from top attractions in the area and given you one of each, for free, every day of your stay. You can use all or none of these activities each day, it’s completely up to you. Some attractions do sell out so be sure to book at your earliest convenience. ASK ALEXA to show you all the options.
Bunk Room
The bunk room accommodates sleeping for four guests. It is an adjoining room to a terrace level King bedroom bath. This room has a murphy bed bunk bed with two single beds and a queen-size murphy bed. Pillows for the bunk room murphy beds are stored in the terrace level hallway linen closet.
Ask Alexa
By default, Amazon's connected speakers all have the same wake word. The device on the kitchen work desk is ready to respond.To cue up a request, just say, "Alexa."

Alexa will continue to listen for another command after it's completed your first request. You can keep issuing more commands until you're done or you say, "Stop."
Amazon has also built on this a multiple commands feature by allowing you to string two related commands into one. You can say something like, "Alexa, play folk music at volume six," or, "Alexa, add bread, milk and eggs to my shopping list."
EV Charging Station
Plug in when you arrive and let your car charge while you sleep. Our J1772 Wall Connector is a convenient charging solution for Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicles alike. With up to 44 miles of range added per hour, a 24-foot cable, the, J1772 Wall Connector is compatible with most North American electric vehicles. Tesla vehicles will require an additional SAE J1772 Charging Adapter to charge. Additionally, there is a Tesla Supercharger located in nearby Pigeon Forge.
Great Room TV Remotes
Use the SAMSUNG remote and click the "Power" button to turn on the TV and modify the volume. Next, use the DishNetwork remote to change channels or select your favorite streaming service like Netflex to sign in and use your account from home.

The built in speaker volume can be adjusted by adjusting the volume control on the receiver unit located in the lower cabinet built in below the TV.
Door Locks
Guests should be mindful to keep doors closed and locked when not in use. This ensures the doors will not accidentally blow open and keep our wildlife friends outside.
To Lock the Doors from the inside:
1) lift and hold the door handle lever up
2) turn the deadbolt to lock position
3) lower door handle lever
4 verify the door is locked.

To Unlock the Door:
1) lift and hold the door handle lever up
2) turn the deadbolt to unlock position
3) lower door handle lever
4 verify the door will open.

The 100 Collection™
Black bears, wild turkey, deer, and many other woodland animals frequently meander through the grounds at Wood Fern Lodge. The screened porch provides a wonderful setting for enjoying a diverse symphony of bird songs as well.
Guests should be mindful to keep doors closed when not in use. Food, beverage, and trash should be properly stored or discarded to avoid attracting curious wildlife.

The Loft offers a wonderful retreat for lounging on the couch with a good book, a training session on the Peloton Bike, exploring a plethora of arcade games, or enjoying a friendly competitive board game with the family. A variety of board games are stored in the built in hutch cabinet.

Thermostats are located in multiple zones for the home. Temperatures can be managed in the great room for main level common areas, primary bedroom on the main level, the loft game room, and the terrace level. The thermostat in the loft also regulates the temperature in the main level breezeway and laundry area below the loft.
Wood Fern Lodge is served with crystal clear well water and an underground septic system. The water pressure may vary if guests shower in all three suites at the same time. Hot Water is provided by a tankless heater, thus, there may be a short delay for the water temperature to "warm up."

The primary bedroom shower has two handles to regulate water. The larger handle turns on the water to the shower head in the "one-oclock" position. Continue moving the larger handle to the right to activate hand-held shower head. The temperature is regulated by the smaller dial in the center of the handle. For warmer water, turn the dial to the left. For cooler temps, turn the dial to the right.

Firewood may be purchased at the Norton Creek Resort office (475 Norton Creek Road) during their posted business hours.

Trash Can storage is located in the storage shed behind the wooden gates next to the garage. The trash cans have locking lids to control against animal access. Per the directions on the can, insert your finger to unlock the lock and lift the lid to place your trash bag in the can. Importantly, make sure to close and lock the trash can lid and the doors on the trash storage shed to prevent animal access. NOTE: The gate to the stairway and trash storage shed locks when closed. Use the wood block door stop with the S-hook handle to prop the gate open when taking out the trash.
